IMHO buying a windows mini pc with 5 year upgradable or just a budget version (convert to Linux machine later, self host open source software) is a better investment.
Use HDMI dummy, no need to buy a monitor. Setup once, let it run 24/7, like a VPS.
You get more performance and automation reliability because of higher cpu, ram and storage.
what would you classify as a dummy PC?
U-xer probably has some requirements, right? (cpu, ram , storage?)
HDMI dummy? you mean to fake a display? pretty hard to check how it’s running then, right?!? or can you switch it while running? not sure
BTW, I saw that article but it doesnt say anything about VPS requirements or recommendations.
I completely agree, a mini pc is the best option. This is what I also use. A low consumption device is better than a vps on every level. I use VNC to take control and love it.
